2009 Updates

Hi Folks,
I have been remiss in my coverage of Iraqi deaths since the beginning of the new US administration. As you might expect, irregardless of who is in charge of this country, bloodshed continues in Iraq. The question is, will the numbers of Iraqi deaths go down more significatly after Obamas withdrawl of US troops? Will Iraq stabilize after the US occupation. Just because US troops withraw, this does not mean that people like me will stop our attention to what's going on. Here is this weeks updates as provided by Iraq Body Count:

Sunday 15 March: 7 dead
Baghdad: bomb attached to car kills petroleum expert.

Mosul: gunmen kill policeman.
Hmeidat: woman is killed during US raid.

Hilla: football player shot dead during match.

Shbaija: 3 bodies.
Saturday 14 March: 10 dead
Baghdad: bomb attached to car kills 1.

Mosul: gunmen kill policewoman and professor at Mosul University in separate incidents.
