Woman Earns Martyrdom, Kills 6, Injures 30

A woman has earned rank into heaven and the praise of God among her male martyr counterparts. Disguised like a male, in traditional white male robe and scarf, the woman blew herself up outside an Iraqi Army checkpoint at a recruiting center. This is the first known instance of a woman executing a martyr mission. In 10/03 a woman was caught and stopped before she could detonate her belt of explosives as she entered into a government building. Saddam's regime used women days before the April 03 attack on Iraq. These two women blew up a car at a checkpoint near the city of Haditha, killing three American soldiers.

Gen. Ahmed Mohammed Khalaf, the regional police chief, said that there now seems to be a "New Tactic" being used. Normally, because of social and religious traditions, women are not searched at checkpoints. He said that will now change. He said that women and children will now be searched the way men are.

Elsewhere, the town of Baqouba suffered its second suicide car bomb in two days.
An attacker slammed his vehicle into a police patrol in central Baqouba, 35 miles northeast of Baghdad, killing one person and wounding 14, included 10 policemen.
