Deviation From Purpose

Good morning.
I feel compelled to deviate from the purpose of my blog (which is to provide regular information on the killings of Iraqi citizens), to comment on Mr. Bush's handling of catagory 5, Hurricane Katrina, which has devistated the citizens of the US Gulf Coast.
Mr. Bush has been seriously criticized of the extremely slow response of the Federal Government to help the people who continue, even now, to be stranded and left without food and water and dying waiting for help. Kane West, ripped into Mr. Bush last night during an aid concert on NBC, stating:
"George Bush doesn't care about black people" and said America is set up "to help the poor, the black people, the less well-off as slow as possible."
Mr. West, like it or not, is the voice for the sentiments of thousands upon thousands of African American people. Without a doubt, racism is alive and well in America, although we won't admit it. In this case, you can be sure, that Mr. Bush's non-response to the impending disaster (Which did he even bother to watch on his TV while on vacation in his Texas ranch?)... was pathetic.
Be absolutely assured, that if a category 5 hurricane were on a direct path to New York or Washington, DC, that Mr. Bush would have put on his army vest, and been PROACTIVE, in positioning troops, the national guard, supplies, and plans, PRIOR to the devistation.
He would have left his vacation home prior to natures' attack on the homeland, and would have done all he could have BEFORE The impending disaster to get people out of harms way.
Now the question is, is Bush's lack luster response because he is racist? Is it because he does not have an affinity with the people of the Gulf Coast States? Is it because he is just a fucking ass hole and doesn't see an onslaught when it is on the way? I really don't know. I can't help but to believe, however, that his response would have been a wholllllllleeeeeee lot different if the wrath were targeted on HIS TERRITORY.
Some of Bush's Republican counterparts made the following statements:
"If we can't respond faster than this to an event we saw coming across the Gulf for days, then why do we think we're prepared to respond to a nuclear or biological attack?" asked former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, a Republican.
Republican Gov. Mitt Romney of Massachusetts called the government's response "an embarrassment."
There was no excuse for Bush's lethargy. Only his own ineptness. Don't get me wrong, I do not hold Bush responsible for the hurricane and the toll it has taken on the ill conceived city planning of New Orleanes. Nor will I hold Bush responsible for the years of lack of attention to or reinforcement of the leavy which was ultimately breached in this onslaught.... But I do hold him 100% responsible for the lack of foresight and proactive and immediate action to help the citizens of those devistated areas. The lack of foresight, has cost innumerable lives in those initial hours and days after the destruction.
I have one more comment to make, remember that you heard it here first. Although I have seen no mention of it on the news (Up till now), I believe that Mr. Bush will have "No choice" but to enforce a "National Tax" to cover the billions and billions of dollars that it will take to rebuild and revitalize the Gulf Coast. Of course, he will blame this tax hike on Katrina, and will not credit it on the 10 billion/week we spend on the "Iraq war" effort. He has us in a pickle, and I ask you to brace yourself, because this is just the beginning.
Have a nice day.
