Bang Kabob

Good Morning,

Another lunch gone bad. At least 23 people were killed today as they sat down to chomp on their lamb and rice at a popular Iraqi dining establishment, Zanbour restaurant, located about 400 yards from the highly guarded "Green Zone". This restaurant was very popular among Iraqi security/policemen. Another 25 people were injured in this attack. A martyr bomber calmly walked in the restaurant with a hefty vest of explosive materials and pulled his own switch.

Other deaths on Sunday in addition to the aformentioned included 18 civilians, two police officers and 2 soldiers.

Latest count is 1,141 people killed since April 29th.

In other news, insurgents blasted a water pipeline, and the 5 million residents of Baghdad have suffered a 24 hour water shortage.

Oh yeah, to follow up from yesterday's blog... Turns out that so far 60 "Insurgents" have been killed and 100 taken into custody. Many houses have been blasted, and the US military has commanded all residents to leave their homes, waiving white flags. Talk about the luck of living in the wrong neighborhood.

A 12 year old boy was snuffed out when an insurgents morter attack that was aimed at the govenors house went astray.

Oh.. btw, hope you have a happy father's day.
