17 Killed, 26 Wounded, And A Thanksgiving Note

Good morning,
Today a martyr car bomber attacked a police patrol on a busy commercial street, killing at least 21 people and wounding 24, officials said. The attackers lured the patrol to the scene by shooting a policeman, officials said. The suicide bomb struck as the investigation was under way. Police Capt. Farhad Talabani said the bombing took place on a road leaving Kirkuk, 180 miles north of Baghdad. About half of the victims killed were civilians, the other half policemen.
This will likely be my last entry before the Thanksgiving holiday. I will resume and try to catch up as best as possible on Monday, Nov. 28th.
At this time of year, people in the US reflect and give thanks for our abundance. I feel so much more than a pang of guilt, as I give thanks to my fortunate life, while there are so many in Iraq suffering. In keeping this log, I try to honor the innocent victims in Iraq who did not sign into service, but who ended up losing their lives for a "Democracy" which may or may not take root. Let us never forget, that the innocent people who lost and continue to lose their lives, were and are a result of a "War" which was really a USA
attack, that occured under absolutely false pretenses that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. The US did not unleash a war/attack on Iraq in the name of democracy. If indeed Mr. Bush launched this attack on Iraq in the name of democracy, how DARE he assert his values onto that of another country without their explicit agreement for him to do so. It is "democracy" that the US Administration now focuses on, as it tries like hell to squirm away from its obligation to the American and Iraq citizens the truth about what it did to manipulate, cherry pick and hide crucial intelligence information and analysis about WMD that eventually fueled the decision among those in Congress to give Mr. Bush authorization to attack Iraq.
So, as I rest in the dawn of yet another Thanksgiving, I will deeply feel and carry with me a very special feeling and as close to an unconditional love as I can possbily feel, for the people who have had their world and lives forever changed. To Mr. Bush, I bestow him a silver bowl of cherries rather than cranberries to go along with his turkey. Without a doubt he will pick the cherries that best suit him, and leave the rest of us with the pits.
Have a nice day.
No Exit Strategy

No matter how hard he tries, Mr. Bush cannot open the door as he attempts to leave after doing an impromptu press conference in
China. He grumbles and curses to himself , "Those cheaply made doors".
Most believe his inablity to get out is a metaphore for his lack of an Exit strategy for the US occupation in Iraq.
5 Civilians Killed By US Forces Called a Mistake. Sunni Clerk Asassinated, 5 Civilians, 4 Policemen Killed
A man is consoled by a relative as he mourns the death of his family members inside Baqouba hospital, Iraq, Monday, Nov. 21, 2005. U.S. forces mistakenly fired on a civilian vehicle outside of an American military base north of Baghdad on Monday, killing at least three people, including one child, a U.S. spokesman said. Five people returning from a relative's funeral, including three children, were killed and two others wounded, said Dr. Ahmed Fouad of the Baqouba city morgue. U.S. officials said they only knew of three deaths in the incident, including one child, and three others wounded. (AP Photo/Mohammed Good morning,
Today US forces fired on a civilian vehicle by mistake.
This error in judgement cost the lives of up to 5 people, including 3 children according to Dr. Ahmed Fouad of the city morgue
A U.S. soldier thought the vehicle was moving erratically outside the base in Baqouba and fired warning shots. The US says that there were a total of 3 civilians in the vehicle including one child. The difference in the numbers, according to US military could be, they say, the fact that there was a roadside bombing in that proximity that was targeting US Humvees, but whose blast did not kill any US military, but did kill 5 civilians and injured 12 bystanders.
The blast was the latest in a series of attacks that have killed more than 150 people in the last four days.
In the nearby city of Tarmiyah, four policemen were killed and another wounded by gunmen, police 1st Lt. Ali Hussein said.
In the largely Shiite southern city of Basra, insurgents killed a Sunni cleric, Khalil Ibrahim, outside his home, police Capt. Mushtaq Talib said. Ibrahim was a member of the Association of Muslim Scholars, a group of influential Sunni clerics that has been sharply critical of the Shiite-led government.
They say there is no civil war in Iraq. To the "They" who are saying this, just watch.
Have a good day.

(AP Photo/Pablo Martinez Monsivais)
Including today's attacks in Khanaqin and Baghdad, martyr bombings in Iraq have killed at least 1,617 Iraqis and wounded at least 3,429 since April 28, 2005, when the country's first elected government took power, according to an Associated Press count.
Of those, martry-driven vehicle bombs killed at least 1,115 and wounded at least 2,591, and martyr bombers on foot killed at least 502 and wounded at least 888. The totals do not include casualties of roadside bombs.
On August 31, 2005 over 769 Iraqi's were killed on a bridge that they were crossing as a rumor of a possible suicide bomber swept through the crowd. (check out my blog on that date). These deaths are, to my understanding, not included in the 1,167 figure which only count the deaths by car, and martyr bombers wearing explosive devices.
74+ Iraqis In Prayer Killed + 8 Die In 2 Car Bombings

Good morning,
I had a feeling last night before I went to bed that there was going to be a large scale killing of Iraqi's today. The last few days have been too quiet.
This morning, as Iraqi's were in the middle of their prayers in the Shiite, Sheik Murad mosque located near the Iranian border in a primairly Kurdish community , a man girdled in an explosive belt flipped his switch, and conducted his personal act of ultimate Martyrdom. The man casually walked in the mosque, planted himself in a crowded area and the next thing you know the roof caved in, and body parts littered and mixed with shreds of the Quran. 74+ people were killed and 150 injured in that attack.
In a seperate attack, this one in Baghdad, a pair of martyr car bombers blew themselves and their Fords up just outside a hotel which houses primairly western journalists. Eight Iraqi's were killed in those blasts. I don't have a count yet, as to how many were injured. The protective supposedly bomber proof wall which guarded the hotel was effective in keeping the occupants safe, however outside the wall houses burned and people either sleeping or just up for their morning coffee, were blown to smitherines.
The bomber strategy was to open a hole in the wall by the first blast, and then the second car (with even stronger explosive capacity) would breach the wall, get right up next to the hotel and flip his own switch. Fortunately for the people inside the hotel, the hole made by the first explosion was too small for the second car to get through.
If you are an Iraqi citizen, or someone stupid enough to go to Iraq, you quickly learn that when you hear an explosion, you need to hit the deck and stay down because it is likely that a second explosion will occur.
Have a nice day.

3 Foreigners Killed
Good evening,
AP -- The interior ministry reported that a car bomb detonated outside a gate leading into the fortified Green Zone in central Baghdad, killing three foreigners.

"Some Democrats and anti-war critics are now claiming we manipulated the intelligence and mislead the American people about why we went to war," he said. Bush said those critics have made those allegations although they know that a Senate investigation "found no evidence" of political pressure to change the intelligence community's assessments related to Saddam's weapons programme.
Dear Mr. Bush,
The EVIDENCE is finally being being seen by the American people. You couldn't keep the lies and deception from us forever.
You and your puppet masters Cheney & Libby mislead the American public into this attack by creating fear based on non-existant weapons of mass destruction .

49 Killed, Dozens Injured, 27 Decomposing Bodies found

Good morning,

Today at least 42 people were killed when martyr bomber walked inside a restaurant frequented by Iraqi policement. Among those killed most were civilians. They were sitting down to have breakfast.
At the same time a car bomb blew up 7 army recruites and injuring 13, in Tikrit, Saddams home town. Apparently these men were former officers under Saddam, and were rejoining to help the occupation.
27 corpses were found near the Iranian border. The corpses were in civilian clothes, bound, shot in the head, and appeared to have been dead for several days.
Groups of dead bodies are regulairly found in Iraq. Officials suspect that death squads from the Shiite majority or the Sunni minority are responsible for the killings. Since the interim government was formed April 28, at least 566 bodies have been found around Iraq , 204 in Baghdad, according to an Associated Press count.
So, on the day after the slaughter and triple martyr bombing in Aman Jordan where 56 were killed and 115 wounded in three American branded hotels, be sure, that the violence is alive and well in Iraq. Aman got the headlines and the sympathy because the slaughter took place in the Raddisun, Days in and Grand Hayatt. Mr. Bush called King Abdullah II on Thursday to express the United States' condolences for the injuries and loss of life.
When will Mr. Bush express his condolonces to the Iraqi people? When will Mr. Bush APOLOGIZE for putting Iraqi citizens under unrelenting seige?
Not in this lifetime.
Have a good day.
